Flow Yoga: Level 1 & 2

This class is taught by:

Heather Hope

Heather moved to Wichita Falls in 2009 from Layton, Utah and resides here with her daughter Aryah. She is working on her Bachelors of Science in Radiologic Technology at MSU. Heather is a Hatha Yoga Level 1 and 2, certified through SCW. She is excited to continue growing her practice and finds joy in the journey. Heather doesn’t believe in taking things too seriously and would like everyone to just own their inner bad ass. No ego, no judgment on the mat and a nice balance of both in life. Yoga gives her a strong foundation physically, a balanced perspective mentally and a way to heal emotionally. She looks forward to taking a trauma sensitive approach to yoga in the future.

Carson Ford

Carson serves many roles at Balance, including Studio Director and instructor. She began her teaching career as a teenager, coaching swimming and dance throughout high school and college. Carson developed a love for the body and how it works while earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology from Midwestern State University. Carson began practicing yoga in 2015 and was instantly drawn to the mind-body connection reached through the practice. She felt that the body awareness she developed through dance and the mechanical understanding of the body she gained through her degree came together perfectly to give her a special connection to the practice.

Carson completed her 200RYT training with Toni Farris at Yoga Tree in Plano, Texas and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. Carson specializes in beginner and modified yoga and has a passion for teaching a safe and mindful practice. She developed the Foundations Yoga program for Balance and enjoys working with first-time yogis of all ages. In addition to Foundations, Carson enjoys teaching Flow Yoga and Restorative Yoga, as well as Barre and Core Pilates. She is currently working toward her 500RYT and plans on becoming a teacher trainer.

Adam Deatherage

Hi, I'm Adam. I bring a curious passion for yoga history, philosophy and poses to yoga with a constant theme of "letting go". I learned meditation at age 12. I went throught my first teacher training at Dharma Yoga in Austin Texas and my second teacher training at Yandara Yoga Institue in Baja Mexico. I am registered with the Yoga Alliance, a certified Reiki level II practitioner, a MBTI certified practitioner and hold a B.S. in Psychology. I work as an advertising consultant with the Wizard of Ads and produce and host of my own TV show. But, it's not about me, it's about you. Class is always multi-level so everyone's included, it's a serious, yet fun, moving meditation that guides you to the edge. You will leave class feeling equally energized and blissful.

Julia Lamberth

Constantly seeking new ways to keep her creativity growing, Julia is a yoga instructor and the marketing designer and photographer/videographer for Balance Studio. She received her 200 RYT certification in 2017. Julia's pursuit of yoga began in college when she led an overactive lifestyle of being a student, runner, swimmer, artist, teacher and youth leader in college. Never sitting still for long or allowing her mind to rest, yoga became the answer to the stillness she desperately needed to maintain a healthy mind/body balance. After college, she began attending classes and continued to allow yoga to be a pivotal part of her life ever since. Julia has also had a heart for the arts and growing her creative spirit. This begin with photography when she bought her first camera at 16 years old. She opened her business in 2011 and primarily photographs weddings, portraits and commercial work. She is a member of the Professional Photographers of America. While running her business, she also graduated from Midwestern State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Education.
