Auri is a New Jersey native with a passion for exercise and wellness. Along with her husband and young son, she relocated to Wichita Falls in 2016 when her husband was assigned to Shepard Air Force Base.
Soon after moving to Wichita Falls, Balance Studio worked its way into Auri’s life when she noticed the studio across from their realtor’s office. At the time, Auri was serving a government position as administrative support. Since Auri had just had her son the year prior, she soon realized it was time to get active and invest in her need for movement and creativity. She began to search for extra activities to assimilate into her new environment and decided to look into Barre classes at Balance. Auri was immediately drawn to the Barre class format as it combined her love for dance and exercise. She also knew Balance would help her make connections in the Wichita Falls community.
Auri became a frequent student of Balance Studio and was attracted to the environment and the teaching style of the instructors. Her love of Barre classes grew until she decided to pursue becoming a teacher. Auri received her Barre certification with BarreAbove and became an official instructor at Balance upon completion of her student teaching. She says, “My goal is to be part of someone else’s journey, as this studio has been a major part of mine.”
Auri received a Bachelors of Arts in Communication and Information from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She gained professional experience in publishing at a large company back home in New Jersey. Auri was recently accepted to an online Master’s program hosted by the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California. She is pursuing her M.P.S. degree in Communication Management, and strives to obtain a post-graduate certificate in Health Communication Management. Auri is excited to see where her journey with Balance takes her, and she hopes to continue to gain certifications to teach more classes.
