Carson began her fitness journey at a young age starting dance lessons at only 3 years old. She continued to pursue dance throughout high school and college training in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern, and hip-hop, and had the opportunity to learn from artists such as Lisa Woods, Courtney Galiano, and Adam Parsons. Along the way, Carson began competitive swimming and strength training which helped her become a better dancer and athlete. Carson’s love for teaching began in 2011 when she started teaching dance lessons at Dance, Etc. in Wichita Falls. From her first class, she knew she would always have a passion for teaching and helping people reach their full potential. Continuing to pursue her love for fitness, Carson earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology from Midwestern State University in 2015.
When Balance came into Carson’s life, she began taking barre, pilates, and yoga classes and absolutely fell in love. Carson was instantly drawn to the mind body connection reached through yoga and began learning to apply it to all types of exercise. Carson decided to get certified in Primary Pilates and then barre, training with Tricia Murphy Madden and Leslie Bender, the creators of BarreAbove. Carson has recently started teaching Barre and Core classes at the studio as well as serving as the Studio Manager. Balance has become a huge part of Carson’s life and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
